Hello Condemned! Happy New Year, I hope you all had a great holiday. I several awesome announcements to share with you. Not only that, but I’ll share them with you today! Like, right now! Can you tell I’m fishing for more words in my documents? Let’s dive into this.
First up, news on Chaotic Assault. Previews will be resuming this week with another card spoiled. I have two in the pipe to share, one from Ellen and one from Eric Suardi. They’ll be spoiled this month. Kasseir is working on a new Condemned, and Logan is working on a really fun piece of Armor. Lahiru will be starting in on an Armor set in the near future, and Xuan Hong Ngoc will be making some more art in the next month or so, as well. This is all ramping up to something big:
I’m doing another Kickstarter
Yep, that’s happening. I’ll share the link on The Condemned CCG’s X profile as well as the Discord. I won’t launch it until all card art is done. Please follow the campaign and help me get enough followers. One of the mistakes I made with Enter The Arena was launching the Kickstarter before it was ready. Not this time! I’m going to make sure that I have a product that is ready to order from my manufacturer, and that I’ll have everything ready to go in a timely fashion compared to the last Kickstarter campaign. That means all the art is ordered, the cards are finalized, and so is the packaging. Another thing that I need is enough people following the Kickstarter at the time that it launches. That was another thing I didn’t do last time that severely hurt the overall success of the Kickstarter campaign.
But yeah, stay tuned on that one.
Up next, I have a super awesome announcement to make. I’m starting a virtual tournament series! This is going to be awesome. The first tournament will be held on February 1st, 2025, at 1:00PM EST. It will be held on the Discord, using Tabletop Simulator with some special decks! You and everyone entering the tournament will be playing with the Theme Decks from Chaotic Assault! This is your chance to check out cards that haven’t even been spoiled yet. How awesome is that?
And how do you enter this awesome tournament, you might ask? Well! There is a channel in the Discord with a sign up form. Fill out that form, and then drop in on the voice channel before the tournament begins to take part. Some matches will be recorded and shared to the Youtube channel, complete with commentary from me! This is going to be tons of fun and I can’t wait to see the crazy plays you all come up with.
Finally, let’s talk about the state of the game as it is. Only selling to The United States is not ideal. There are markets overseas that I should be selling to, but haven’t yet. Part of that is due to collecting VAT in Europe, and reporting other taxes in Canada/Mexico. If I can figure those out, I’ll be able to sell directly to customers in other countries. If you’re a game store owner and you want to pick up The Condemned CCG for your store, the best way to do so is to order through Faire. I believe I have international shipping turned on with them because they’re able to handle collecting the taxes necessary for business to business transactions. If you want your local game store to pick up The Condemned, this is the place to send them!
I also want to build out more organized play, and improve the community. The more people play the game, the more people there are for you to play against. This means having game stores that want to host The Condemned CCG events. If you’re a store owner, use the contact form to get in touch with me. I will help you get events set up. If you’re local to the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, I’ll even help run the events. Let’s make this happen, yeah?
