Hello Condemned! It’s been a little bit since I’ve shared a new card. I’ve had a lot on my plate, including several events at Highlander Games, getting ready for Anime Fusion, and waiting on orders from the people that are currently working on artwork. Speaking of, I have some!
Whenever I make a game, I inevitably include a card/item/element with this exact name. Without fail. I cannot explain why, but here we are. The really weird thing about it is that I don’t really have any sort of connection to this concept outside of including it in just about everything. Anyway, in The Condemned, this is a new, versatile Weapon for your arsenal. I’m not going to waste any more of your time, here’s the Ace of Spades:
The Ace of Spades is intended to be a versatile weapon in your arsenal. I wanted it to be something that could fill a gap that was left behind in Enter The Arena. Right now, moving to Ranged can be very devastating for certain decks, especially RipperStrike. That’s where this card shines. You now have a Weapon that can be a single use Ranged Weapon, or you can use it at Melee for a few attacks.
This card has basically stayed the same for its entire development cycle. I don’t think I changed it much at all, it basically worked as intended. I love it when I make cards like this, because then I can focus on the problem children in the set and give them the refining and tweaks that they need.
I gotta say, I love what Xuan did with this card. She knocked this one out of the park from the beginning. I love this sketch! She took The Pacifier that Eric Suardi designed and gave her something awesome to work with. I have a few more cards earmarked for her to draw, so you can look forward to more artwork from her as time progresses! And with the Ace of Spades out of the way, we are up to:
12/128 cards
This is the slowest, most arduous process in making a card game. But I’m making good, solid headway, and I’m almost 10% of the way done! So that’s neat. Now to finish up the rest! I have cards in process from Ellen, Max Fleig Ramos, Eric Suardi, Kasseir, and Logan Staeheli. So we should see more updates very, very soon! But that’s going to wrap up this update. If you want to see The Condemned in your game store, have them reach out, I’ll fix them up. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you in The Arena.
